Infrared Insights - Live Stream!

Infrared Photography Live Stream, Take Two

We had some technical difficulties during the live stream on 4/27. The good news is that I've picked up some new hardware to make future streams much more stable. Removing this bottleneck should also allow me to schedule live streams more frequently. And who doesn't love an excuse to get more gear?

My next infrared photography live stream will take place on Thursday, May 4th, at 8 pm EDT / 5 pm PDT!

You can get links to add this event to your calendar, submit questions or submit files on the Live Steam page.

I'll be covering all of the questions and images submitted for the 4/27 live stream, even those I attempted to cover then. There is more than I can cover in a single stream, so it will take multiple streams to cover everything. Rest assured, if you have submitted questions or images, I will get to them!

I appreciate the support of everyone who showed up to the 4/27 stream and was upbeat despite the technical challenges. Your patience means more to me than you know!

Rob

Infrared Travel Camera I converted a compact fixed-lens camera into an infrared travel camera and built a simple grab-and-go kit around it. In this video, I’ll show what’s in my bag (camera, adapters, filters, grip, and accessories), why I chose the camera, and how I narrowed it down to a small set of filters, including the Kolari IR Chrome, plus one for color infrared and one for monochrome infrared. I’ll also walk through the two biggest quirks, hot spots and distortion, and the quick...
